The Right Balance of Visionaries and “Doers” in Your Business
In order to be successful, an organization needs to have a balance of visionaries and “doer” mindsets.
Visionaries are people are the ones who have the ability to see what is possible and make it happen. The “doers”, or action takers, are the ones who make those visions a reality.

Visionary leaders need to be able to communicate their vision in a way that is both compelling and understandable to others.
If you’re a visionary, you may have found yourself struggling with this. That’s usually the point I step into a business and create a 3-6 month strategic plan based on your goals, determine which ideas are most important to work on, develop a project plan for the high priority projects, and create a weekly task list for the team to follow. This helps leaders to rally support for their ideas from other members of their team and get everyone on the same page to reach objectives that will move the business forward.
The Secret Combination of Visionaries and “Doers” is What Creates True Innovation
It is important to have a visionary and a “doer” in a business. Without this, it would be very difficult for any innovation to happen.
As visionaries, you are responsible for coming up with new ideas and dreaming about what could be possible in the future. You are also responsible for communicating these ideas to a “doer” on your team and making sure that they understand what you want them to do.

The “doer” is then responsible for implementing these ideas within a company’s current framework. A good “doer” has strong problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail orientation. They will make sure that your vision is not too far out of reach, or too costly to implement. “Doers” will also help you make adjustments if necessary so that your idea can become a reality!
Let me know if you are a visionary who is lacking a “doer” in your business.
